This is pitiful. You’d think it would be easy to write a blog a day but… oh well. I apologize.
Drums are finished. Amazing. To be precise, drums, guitars, bass, some acoustic guitar and violins, and a good bit of programming is finished, and we’re only halfway into week two. This is scary. My calendar says I’m recording until mid April (the question then being – recording what?). Maybe we could record a reality show in the fiji’s. That would be nice.
Anyway, i’m on to digging for samples for Hogan to manipulate with the the old turntables. As soon as violin is done he can join me. Until then, keep watching me move ever so slightly from time to time on the webcam. Its outrageous!!!!
It will most likely be in very early October.
So is there a release date or not?
if it was the disco rehearsal video then yeah. its a silver sparkle kit from risen that stays at the church. i was at a practice for a church function.
What kit were you using in the clip of the day for clip of the day 11? It’s the one you have setup at UBC.
Wade:
we try to get a lot of programming done before we even start the recording process as well as an idea what the drums will be like. after all is tracked we go back an adjust and fine tune and add where we feel necessary.
Bill:
Oh Yeah!
when you do programming for a song, is it more of a post-production thing. For instance, do you listen to how the band sounds on the near-completed track before deciding what programming needs to go where (what gaps need to be filled etc.). I’m sure you have done it more than one way, but on average how do you go about it?
I think you should spend the last two weeks putting together all the tabs, chords & lyrics – that was a huge boon to fans for the last records. Also, how about putting out one track for fan remix?
